24 government hospitals and 82 primary healthcare centres (PHCs) received the Kayakalp State Awards from Mr. Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi and minister in charge of the health department, for following standard protocols, maintaining cleanliness, and offering patients high-quality medical care.

The Delhi administration declared on Monday that giving people access to top-notch medical facilities was a top priority and that state-run hospitals had to uphold the highest levels of medical excellence. These honours were a testament to the excellent job done by Delhi′s government hospitals and the high level of patient care they offered.

According to an official, the "Mera Aspatal" initiative′s state selection committee used a three-tier assessment process to determine which government hospitals were performing the best in terms of maintenance, sanitation, hygiene, support services, waste management, infection control, hygiene promotion outside of hospital walls, and patient testimonials. Hospitals and PHCs were awarded certificates of gratitude and financial incentives following selection.

Acharya Shree Bhikshu Government Hospital, Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital, Maharishi Valmiki Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital, are a few hospitals that received awards. (Times of India, July 26, 2022)
